HAROPA Port has announced the launch of a new weekly service called FE9 in partnership with Hapag-Lloyd.
The service provides a new link between Asian markets and France, bolstering HAROPA Port’s maritime offering for Asia-Europe trade. The FE9 service operates from Le Havre and is positioned as the last European export port in the Far East Loop 9 (FE9) rotation.
The route is as follows:
Qingdao – Ningbo – Shanghai – Xiamen – Yantian – Singapore – Rotterdam – Southampton – Antwerp – Le Havre – Jeddah – Qingdao.
The stopover for the service is at the Terminal de France, which is operated by Générale de manutention portuaire (GMP) and takes place every Wednesday.
The transit times offer connection with Singapore only taking 23 days and Qingdao taking 37 days. The FE9 service made its first call at Le Havre on 9 April and will complement the FE2 import service operated by Hapag-Lloyd within THE Alliance.
Container traffic for HAROPA Port remains at the record level achieved in the previous year, registering a throughput of 3.1 million TEU.
