MSC has decided to revise the port rotation of its Levante Express service, announcing the return to Naples, Italy with a direct call and the removal of another Italian port, Gioia Tauro.
"The Levante Express service will now return to Naples with a direct call, replacing the current Naples Shuttle Service, and will no longer call at Gioia Tauro on its northbound leg," noted MSC, adding that Gioia Tauro will continue to be connected to its global service network.
The first vessel on the revised rotation will be the 9,400 TEU MSC Azov, which is estimated to arrive at Naples on 2 August.
MSC noted that it will need eight days from Naples to London Gateway and six days from La Spezia to the UK container terminal.
The revised rotation of the Levante Express service will be as follows:
London Gateway (UK) – Rotterdam (Netherlands) – Antwerp (Belgium) – Valencia (Spain) – Gioia Tauro (Italy) – Alexandria El Dekheila (Egypt) – Beirut (Lebanon) – Mersin (Türkiye) – Naples (Italy) – La Spezia (Italy )– London Gateway
