Wan Hai Lines celebrates naming of two boxships

Wan Hai Lines held a ship naming ceremony for WAN HAI 375 and WAN HAI 377, along with a charity donation event, on 1 August at the Japan Marine United Corporation TSU Shipyard.

 

The event was jointly officiated by Chao-Hon Chen, honorary chairman of Wan Hai Lines, Charles Chen, president of Wan Hai Lines Japan and director of Wan Hai Lines Singapore, and Nobuyuki Nada, president and CEO of Japan Marine United Corporation. Tomomi Nakasone, spouse of Yasutaka Nakasone, a member of the House of Representatives, and Chen-Keenan Leanne named the two vessels during the ceremony.

 

Wan Hai Lines has commissioned a third batch of 3,055 TEU series vessels from Japan Marine United Corporation, with a total of twelve ships in this series. WAN HAI 375 and WAN HAI 377 are the final two vessels in this batch.

 

These ships feature new energy-saving equipment, emphasizing energy efficiency and environmental friendliness, and are certified with Smart Shipnotations. These advanced vessels are part of Wan Hais initiative to upgrade its fleet and strengthen its commitment to quality and eco-friendly shipping services.

 

In addition to the ship naming, Wan Hai Lines made a charitable donation of essential items to ESPERANCE YOKKAICHI, a charitable organization in Yokkaichi.
